Transavia was founded on 21 October 1965 as Transavia Holland B.V., according to its registration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Haarlem and surrounding areas. For almost 60 years, Transavia has been flying passengers to more than 110 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. With a fleet of 50 aircraft, Transavia transports 9 million passengers annually from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Eindhoven, and in Belgium from Brussels Airport. In 2022, Transavia Netherlands generated a turnover of nearly 1 billion euros. Through Transavia Holidays, the airline also offers complete holiday packages including a flight, accommodation, and optionally a rental car, transfer, or activity. Transavia Netherlands is part of the Air France-KLM Group. Its sister airline, Transavia France, operates flights from Paris, Montpellier, Lyon, and Nantes.
