1. Description of the challenge
The Public Prosecution Service is responsible for enforcing the legal order, including assessing criminal cases. However, the current system lacks the ability to recognize connections between cases, potentially leading to decisions being made without considering the broader context. For example, recurring acts of vandalism by a group of youths may be treated as separate incidents without recognizing them as part of a larger phenomenon. This lack of awareness and system integration prevents the Public Prosecution Service from effectively connecting the dots and addressing overarching issues.
2. Expected outcome

Design a system in which we as the Public Prosecution Service can quickly and easily see what is really going on in a district, a neighborhood, or even affecting a specific retailer.

  • How can we ensure that all context information is included in the deliberations of the Public Prosecution Service?
  • And more in general: based on your findings, do you have any other advice to offer?
