1. Description of the challenge

Aviko’s mission is to bring joy to tables all over the world, joy from farm to fork, joy today and tomorrow. Hence, in an era where sustainability and innovation are paramount, we present a unique challenge to our students: to reimagine one of the world’s most beloved foods—fries. This challenge, titled “Shaping the future of fries: Shape and Sustainability as an Incentive for Innovation and Growth,” aims to inspire students to develop innovative fry shapes that not only enhance the culinary experience but also significantly reduce waste and CO2 emissions. Joy to tables, joy to a healthy earth.

2. Expected outcome

The challenge is crucial for Aviko as it focuses on the core of Aviko: Fries. With that,  sustainability and innovation,  are Aviko's mantras of growth. This challenge not only aims to push the boundaries of innovation but also to instill a sense of responsibility towards sustainability for our future engineers, scientists, and designers. By participating, students will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the food industry and contribute to a more sustainable world. Resulting in Unique, distinctive and sustainable shaped fries.
