1. Description of the challenge

Nitrogen has a negative impact on our environment. Europe demands that we do not ignore this and imposes restrictions on building and growing if the environment cannot cope with a greater nitrogen load. In that context, we have the following case.

What?

After realise a new piece of infrastructure, it is used by traffic and other users who emit nitrogen. What facilities can we provide or what measures can we take in a project that greatly reduces the nitrogen impact on the environment during the use phase? Are there physical solutions that can be created tot tackle these emissions?

Why?

As makers of the healthy living environment, Heijmans wants to leave the construction site better than it was found at the start. What infrastructural innovations can we use to respond to environmental pollution?

2. Expected outcome

The description of the idea that contributes to reducing nitrogen effects on the environment of new or renewed infrastructure. Describe the principle of the idea and support it with a sketch and/or calculation of why it can function.
