1. Description of the challenge

We challenge you to create a social impact investment proposition for European millennials (born between 1981-1996) based on the Oikocredit mission and (future) portfolio.  With a 50 year anniversary ahead, Oikocredit has been at the forefront of Financial Inclusion and has. built up a stable portfolio of over 1 billion assets under management with loyal investors. As much as we cherish these investors that have supported us for decades, we also acknowledge the need to reach new and younger investors who wish to put their money to work for good. This is important to sustain the portfolio growth we foresee and the development of a high impact portfolio that supports innovative concepts in creating sustainable livelihoods for low income people.

2. Expected outcome

We expect students joining us to be high energy, curious and to think out of the box. During the day you will roll up your sleeves and create several concepts and test them out on potential investors. Collectively, you will craft a persona and create an investment proposition for millennial investors. This proposition together with a concept for a referral program will drive the adoption of younger investors and support our work in alleviating poverty and creating financial health in the Global South.
