pillars of that ambition. In this challenge, we focus on young talent entering the job market.
Students are invited to evaluate OMRON against benchmark criteria for ‘Best Employer 2026’ and
to make recommendations for improvements. Typical criteria for such awards include workplace
culture and wellbeing, leadership and career development, environmental responsibility,
attractiveness for young talent, and innovation and flexibility.

Commitment
OMRON’s mission “to improve lives and contribute to a better society” has remained unchanged
since 1959 and shows its deep commitment to sustainability. Our core values, which are lived by
all employees, are Innovation driven by social needs, Challenging ourselves, and Respect for All.
Together these ‘OMRON Principles’ are the cornerstone of our decisions and actions. They are
what binds us together.
Our company’s sustainability efforts and goals have been recognised by international ESG
assessment institutions and rating bodies, resulting in a Gold EcoVadis rating (placing it in the
top 5% of companies worldwide) and being included in the & Global Sustainability Yearbook.

Focus
Students are encouraged to use their own knowledge, opinions and insights in this challenge, but
as a minimum, are expected to consider the following important areas:
- Attractiveness to young professionals
- Workplace sustainability
- Employee wellbeing
- Determining relevant criteria
- Existing initiatives (Green Office Vision, Waste Management, & Employer Branding)
- Communication with external stakeholders, specifically young talent

2. Expected outcome

Students will evaluate OMRON's performance against key 'Best Employer 2026' criteria—such as workplace culture, sustainability, employee wellbeing, and attractiveness to young professionals—using both benchmark standards and their own insights. Based on this assessment, they will provide actionable recommendations to enhance OMRON’s appeal to young talent and strengthen its position as a leading, future-focused employer.
