Housing faces many challenges nowadays: the availability, affordability, and sustainability of homes, especially for (vulnerable) young people trying to enter the housing market. We are looking for innovative housing concepts that can improve mobility in the housing market. But perhaps we are thinking too modestly and not creatively enough. That’s why we need your help.
New business ideas:
We are always looking for ways to develop new and innovative concepts for services or housing models. We want to stay ahead and respond to societal trends and developments.
Seniors tend to remain in homes that are too large for a long time, which leaves fewer homes available for young people and first-time buyers. At the same time, seniors face various obstacles when it comes to moving later in life. What possible solutions could help stimulate movement in the housing market, create more housing, or inspire new services for a housing association?
ZOwonen is a successful and financially sound housing association with a portfolio of approximately 14,000 social rental homes, the majority of which are located in the Westelijke Mijnstreek region. Its core activity is social housing: providing affordable living space for households with limited income and for vulnerable groups requiring additional support.
The market in which housing associations operate is continuously evolving and imposes different demands than in the past. Numerous societal, demographic, and economic developments have also inspired ZOwonen to adopt a strategy that further establishes the foundation for a future-proof organization.
